A site to document my adventures with the Raspberry Pi. The Raspberry Pi is a credit card sized computer that can plug in to a regular TV and keyboard.
I plan to use mine to control the higer level functions of my robot. I have the additional camera board so should be able to capture and process high resolution images. But the Raspberry Pi could be used for anything such as a media center, a webserver, or a general purpose computer.
The model B has 256MB RAM, 2 USB ports, and Ethernet port, HDMI out, composite video out, and 3.5mm audio out and an ARM11 central processing unit. The GPIO header allows connection of other circuitry that can be controlled via software running on the Pi.
It' here! The Raspberry Pi camera board. A small circuit board approximatly 1inch square containg a small high definition camera. It comes with a short ribbon cable that plugs directly into the Raspberry Pi.
The Pi cobbler allows you to break out the power, GPIO, I2C and SPI pins from the 26 pin header to a solderless breadboard. This makes it easy to experiment with circuits with reduced risk of connecting to the wrong pin and damaging the Pi. This comes as a small kit consisting of a circuit board, headers and ribbon cabel.
